All of these "could you live like this" posts got me thinking. WHY do many of you continue to live a life that you are not happy with? Why not make a change? Why did you let yourself get in to so many of the situations that you are in now? Especially those situations that could have easily been prevented. I really have a tough time wrapping my head around it. Someone please enlighten me. There is NO excuse. You did not need to open your legs as a teenager, get knocked up by a guy that had no intentions of making you an honest woman, only get a GED, and be in the poor house mooching off of the gov't in so many cases. If that was the path you took then do something about it now. As a woman you should be smart enough to realize that in this day and age you should have graduated high school, gone to college and gotten a useful degree that you could use to support yourself/or your family if you needed to. THEN met an awesome guy, got married and then made babies AFTER you could afford them. Don't start with all of the "We can't all be perfect" stuff. It has NOTHING to do with being perfect...it has to do with being RESPONSIBLE! It has everything to do with recognizing that being a productive member of society and respecatble adult should be a priority. I'm sorry I don't feel sorry for the moms on here that have 4 kids living in a run down trailor, while working part time at McDonalds, with a DH sitting on the couch claiming he can't find a job for the last 2 years. I feel really bad for the kids though.
So go ahead and bash away because I am sure this post will hit home for A LOT of you.
