OH MY GOD isn't it such a relief to get that your pap smear came back normal letter? lol Every time I go in for one I am always so nervous that something will pop up on it because I know some STDs can lay dormant for YEARS without showing up!! I wasn't very promiscuous before meeting my husband but did have unprotected sex with a few men, that might have been, idk i was young and stupid! I got mine in the mail today and I was so relieved! lol

They only call if it's abnormal. No news is good news.

I get blood tests and everything done once a year. Rather safe than sorry!

I got a bad letter once. Had to have a LEEP to remove cancerous cells. Its been 6 years now and I am still clear though! THe letters now are the best!

Mine are always abnormal...:( have pcos.. on borderline of cervical cancer plus have hpv....consider yourself lucky :) wish I could have normal pap results..

Yep. You have to wait however long it is, I don't remember, and call an 800 number to get your results.

at mine they call if abnormal, normal just sends you a letter saying Congratulations no further testing needed!

I don't go for paps. Too traumatic having someone I barely know probe around up there. I just get them when I'm pregnant sometimes. I had an abnormal pap when pregnant with dd, but it ended up not being anything scary and cleared up on its own by the time I had my next pregnancy pap a couple years later.
