DH has had a wisdom tooth come in....initially, they said there was no need to cut them out before, because his mouth is "roomy." (BIG MOUTH! LOL...I laughed over that for a while, lol) But it's growing in sideways (where the bottom of tooth is rubbing his jaw, if that makes sense, I had one that would have grown in that way myself).....so it's causing him a lot of pain.
Yesterday, he decided to make a dentist appointment. For today.....without finding out if they were going to remove the tooth today or not. I thought he'd have AT LEAST enough sense to find out what they'd be doing....so I was like "Ok, cool. Just call me before you go in." (yeah, we call each other a lot in the day, no big, lol).
This morning, he gets up and says..."What if I need someone to bring me home?" Erm...excuse me? "If they remove the tooth, won't I need someone to bring me home?" You didn't bother to find that out when you made the appointment? "I didn't think about it." Duuuude. "Well, what will I do?" I guess you can call my dad. He'll come and get you, but I won't be happy about leaving my car there. "You can't come and get me?" NO! I'll have my niece and nephew today. And that doesn't solve the car getting home either. "Why did you tell them you'd keep them today?" Well, dear, because I didn't know you MIGHT have to have someone to bring you home. "I didn't know either.." OK then! If you need someone, have my dad come and get you. And I guess I'll have him drive me back out there to get my car after he drops you off her. "Ok. Love you. Bye."
LOL....*sigh* I don't think he'll need someone, but he could have asked about it..lol.
It will be just one, it's the only one causing problems......but he should have asked about it when he called. I assumed he did....my bad, lol.
Guess I'll have to start making appointments FOR him....like I don't have enough appointments to worry about between my OB and the kids visits to the doc and dentist, and Keaton's urologist and neurologist...*sigh*

If they do need to sedate him for the procedure they won't do it without someone being there. I had to stay in the office for my husbands in case there was an issue. If it's just one and it's out of the gum it should be a simple extraction. My top ones were at funky angles too but they just yanked them out.
That is becoming more apparent every day...lol.

No, men do not use common sense.

Uhhhhhhhhh, he is getting something traumatic done. Most people don't think ahead for this-------- they just react to oHHHH MYYYY !!! IT's going to be painful ........**when > it . gets . done .*
Nevermind setting up a ride.... I remember when I got pregnant it wasn't a thing of getting a ride, more of just how much could I be gutsy, and stave the procedure. ! Wisdom teeth tend to come in when everything else is priority, like real life daily stuff.
I had all 4 come in the same way. We aren't made with some blueprints of when this will exactly happen.
If they aren't removed when they are way under the gum/ and invisible but yet just starters or buds, they can come in quickly all at the same time.
I imagine all 4 are a bit extreme to remove , then not bite your lips, or slice a hole in your cheek.
Way more people should think before they get even one removed. Or how about when they come in when a woman is 4 months pregnant. How's that going over ??!!
The last time I went in with him, we had been dating less than a week. He had TERRIBLE poison oak from his ankles to his upper thighs.
His Dr. looked straight at me and said "Does he have this on his penis and/or scrotum too?" I looked straight at doc and said "I don't know, I've never seen his penis....why don't you ask him?" LOL
I haven't had time to go with him any more since then, lol.

Heck, I'm tempted to go with my husband to his! Any time he goes to a medical appointment he forgets something. He has had a funky lump on his arm for about two years and every time he went I told him to ask about it but he forgot. Finally last week I told him that it looked like squamous cell carcinoma (it kinda did but I was also 99% sure it wasn't) and played the "I don't want to be a widow" card. He finally asked and the NP said he needed to stop picking at it, something I've been saying for months but he says it itches, and it is finally going away.
