I seriously don't understand why it's so hard for some Christians to keep their beliefs to themselves and out of the Government. I should not have to sit and listen to a 'prayer' before a public school graduation, baseball game, town hall meeting or dedication of a war memorial in a public park. You have no right to deny people rights based on what your holy book says, or to post your symbols, scriptures and statues all over Government property. Regardless of what you may think, not every American IS Christian, this is not a Christian Nation, not all of the Founding Fathers were Christians, our money and Pledge haven't always said 'under God' and your not being persecuted because non-Christians are finally standing up to you because we've had enough of your privileged existence here.
My family has been here since 1670. I was born here, I served in the Army, I vote, pay taxes, I contribute to society and I'm an Atheist American- I MATTER AND I HAVE RIGHTS AS WELL.

While I agree that religion need's to find a way out or lose their tax exemption, may I ask why the atheist always pick christians? The LDS specifically backed prop8 and paid for almost all yes on prop 8 ads.
Are you saying that LDS are NOT Christians?

Ok, so does this mean that the government needs to remove "In God We Trust" off our money? Just wanting your thoughts.
Yes, IMO it doesn't belong there because it does't represent ALL Americans, and it's establishing and endorsing religion, which is not allowed per The Bill of Rights.

Well if you wanna get technical christian isnt a religion, the word is defined as a belief in christ. But you are picking christians as a group and not just saying religous groups, so I asked the question, why do athiest pick christians? Why not catholics? Or jews? Or just say religous groups? If you dont believe in the religion itself why call out one grouping?

Christian is a blanket term encompassing ALL denominations in said 'group'. Why don't I pick on Jews or Muslims? Well, because I don't see them doing the things I posted about in the OP. They manage to believe what they do here in the US and yet don't think they need to force everyone to believe the same way. Jews and Muslims don't eat pork but do you see them trying to make eating pork a crime here?
