Yes. I feel guilty that I have to work a lot and spend time away from ds. Yesterday I had to work late and he was asleep when I got home. :( I try to make our time together special.
But he goes to a great daycare with loving teachers. He learns a lot there too. But some days, yes, I feel guilty for working. That's my confession today.

I hope ds remembers me like that

My mom was a single mom raising three kids. She busted her ass and went to college. I have nothing but respect and pride for her hard work. Growing up I would watch her do her makeup in the mornings, kiss her goodbye and sometimes she wouldn't get home till 11pm. I would stay up and even when I couldn't I know she always kissed me goodnight when she got home. She was the strongest and most caring person I have ever known. You are doing the right thing. Its tough now but he will know what an awsome mom you were!

Understand but you have to provide for him so you shouldn't feel guilty. As long as he is happy so should you.
Quoting singlemom1208:
Yes. I know I have to work to provide for him. But sometimes I still feel bad.

Try not to feel guilty mama, sounds like you're trying to do the best for your ds and that's what's important.

I read all these SAHM posts about getting to do all this stuff with their kids all the time and about the benefits of having a SAHP. Just makes me feel a little bad sometimes. We all want the best for our kids. But I'd rather work than live off the system.

Super fun stuff in plastic containers.
Beans with measuring cups spoons ect ect.
Baby oil and cornstarch with pipe cleaners and straws.
Things like that. Sometimes I feel like I can't give my son all the fun stuff he should have so I have sensory tubs ( baby tubs for him) and we play and I watch his face light up.
