As an adult, I get bored just sitting here waiting to be seen. Just imagine how kids feel? Kids don't belong at Dr appointments when the appointment is not for them!
I'm sitting here (which have been for a good hour, they've been here longer) and 1 kid is literally jumping off the damn chairs, flinging his toy sword around and the other one is repeating "I'm hungryyyyyyyy" in the naggy-est voice ever. And I'd have to say, a good 30x if not more. Like take these kids out of the lobby room already!
And what I really don't understand is when both parents are here at the Dr office w/ the kids. Like at an OB/GYN appointment that is clearly gonna be for the woman? Sure I understand your dude wants to see the ultrasound of his growing baby, but that's too bad when you have to track a bunch of kids with you!
Keep them home!
A little something to add:
So I assume the lovely bunch that have an issue with this are the ones that brig their out of control kids with them to personal appointments and allow them run wild? Cause that's what I am having an issue with, kids not behaving at a Drs appointment.
And let me just add, I have a 4 year old that knows heow to behave and knows that there will be major consequences if she acts up. I know how to "control" my kid. I guess that's why I have an issue when kids are running around, jumping off chairs, yelling like they belong in the jungle.
It's a Drs office. Not the zoo.
If you aren't fortunate enough to find a sitter for your appointment, at least have the common courtesy to teach your kids how to behave. And when they have a meltdown, step outside and put their little asses in check! Simple.
