what is this bathsalt crap anyways? And it's legal? Isn't it ironic...

Edit. Obviously a lot of people are not getting what I am saying. Synthetic drugs like bath salts, spice, etc, are LEGAL and available at gas stations. At least where I am. But marijuana is NOT legal? If you are stoned you will of course want to eat, and eat a lot. But you never look at your buddy and decide to eat him! Legalize marijuana and maybe half the people that think they need to be high would just stick with that. Because most who do bath salts and other synthetic drugs are looking for a cheap, legal high. But it looks like the effects they can cause should put bath salts as the most dangerous drug out there right now. In my opinion anyways.

That's what the link says too.

They are working on making them illegal. They've already banned 3 substances they use to make them.

Quoting brettsmomma:

In my state they make one kind illegal and the manufacturers switch up the recipe and call it another name and they are back out on shelves. Its because of this they are still legal in most states.

They are working on making them illegal. This stuff is seriously dangerous and there's no way to predict how the person is going to react. My husband is a medic and has dealt with patients who have taken them. It's worse than PCP overdoses.

I saw an article (I forget if it was line or here) saying it wasn't bath salts. The guy had taken pills but they hadn't dissolved yet and his tox screen was negative.

Quoting DarlaHood:

Yeah, they keep making them illegal but then the ”recipe” is tweaked & they're right back on the shelves. In Florida, they're putting stickers on stores that don't sell it. Lmao! What a waste. My neighbor just bought spice from a store with the sticker yesterday. They really should just legalize marijuana. It's safe & natural. No zombies.

I might have been a little hard on you with my sarcasm.  I admit it can be sharp at times.  Sorry for that.  Kudos for your very nice response.  Well said...

Yeah, that makes sense too. I am stating my opinion, so by all means state yours. From personal experience, I have never wanted to do any psycho shit while high on ANY drugs. But yes, I think it is best to fully avoid all mind altering chemicals. In fact, I am an activist for sobriety and recovery. I wasn't giving the go ahead to everyone else, I was simply thinking that maybe bath salts aggravate mental illness and people shouldn't use them PERIOD. That was my train of thought. Guess I didn't convey it well.

Quoting DarlaHood:

Oh, so it's only some people who freak out and end up naked on the interstate eating someone else's face.  Well then, all the people who think they don't have some kind of mental issue could go ahead and try it!  wtf?!!  The point is I don't think you really know who's going to have extreme reactions, so maybe it's best to avoid things that are not meant for human consumption and cause potentially psychotic and violent behavior?  idk.  That's just me.

Quoting ShayNBrysMommy:

...I think it is only people who use the "bath salts" that already have some kind of mental issues or behavioral problems. I have used bath salts before everyone was freaking out about it and it never made me feel weird. Just like I was high on an upper. *shrug*

Thanks. I try, lol. I figure if I am a raging bitch, no one is listening to what I want them to be hearing anyway. ;) I do completely agree with you though.

I found recipes online for extracting cannabis into coconut oil, but idk the process for bath salts. Google it!

Quoting brettsmomma:

I have horrible pain from RA. Where do we get recipes to make this stuff? I wonder if it would help relieve my pain :( sadly MJ isn't legal in my state yet. :/

Quoting lalaboosh:

Even if my oil doesn't get me 'stoned' I'll get good nutrition from it. I did my oil pulling (swish with veggie oil for 20 minutes) with it today and I think it got me all messed up lol, there's a lot of blood vessels under the tongue.

Quoting Stormy6669:

My caregiver is making an oil/rub for me. Not sure if it will work on me though as my pain is from organ failure. But I sure love my baths and this is something to try. Or, get your own bathsalts and add some hash oil...wonder if that would work? Hope your coconut oil works, let me know...

Quoting lalaboosh:

Our skin absorbs THC and all the other jazz in pot really well, so a nice hot bath would be a great way to medicate an achy body like mine. I haven't used it before, but the owner of the medical club I frequent makes it and loves it. I actually plan to use my medicated coconut oil on my achy hump to see if that helps. I made the coconut oil myself, so I have little faith in it. LOL!

Quoting AnnieMcD:

How does that work? Have you used it before?

Quoting lalaboosh:

*smokes weed*

I'm gonna buy some medicated bath salts soon. NOT BATH SALTS BATH SALTS!! Just sea salt that is medicated with pot. LOL! FOR ACTUAL BATHING!
