Is This Normal For a Toddler Boy?

My son is 3yrs 3mos old.  I have a nephew who is 2yrs and another that is 20mos.  Both of my nephews have an interest in their penis.  They touch it when the diaper is off and while in the tub.  My son however does not.  He knows he has one (he has a name for it).  He'll glance at it sometimes (we are trying to encourage potty training and I think he is trying to figure out how to make it work).  Anyway I hear about boys "discovering" it but he just ignores it.  Any reason for concern?

No reason for concern IMO. My son has a name for his too but rarely has any interaction with it unless he goes to the bathroom. No need to worry:)

nope. maybe he has it all figured out or maybe he'll become more interested in it later. i don't think there is a huge concern there.

I don't think so. My DS is 4.5 and is either really private about his exploration or just isn't that interested.

I wouldn't worry. I'm sure he'll male up for lost time in about 11 years.

No cause for concern at all.  He'll find it eventually, and you will probably wish he hadn't!  There are a wide range of normal behaviors. Some suck thumbs.  Some don't.  Some use pacifiers for years.  Some don't.  Variety is the spice of life!

Idk my little guy is 3 months and he likes to as we put it "do the Al Bundy" his hand down his pants and diaper. Here is a bump for you though.

Odd.

My son is 16 months and isn't obsessed, but he definitely notices and explores it.Yesterday I looked down from doing my makeup and he was putting a q-tip on it. I have no idea why.
