But I like my daughter so much more now that I'm not breast feeding. She's 11 weeks and now that I'm formula feeding her, I enjoy her so much more. But I feel bad that I feel this way.

Do what you feel is right. Doesn't sound awful to me.

We were having supply issues but it was mostly the stress of my older kids and no dh around help out when I needed it.

2 moms liked this

LOL I was the exact same way. I love her more, she killed my nipples and I used to call her a little bitch...as soon as I started bottle feeding I felt loads better!

I didn't breast feed my son either. I know they say you bond with your child more if you breast feed but I disagree with that. You couldn't be closer to a mom than my son is to me

Whatever works for you and your family is what's most important. Don't let others tell you anything different.

Quoting Anonymous:

It was stressing me out. I have two older children and my dh is deployed. No friends or family around and I just couldn't handle it.

I think bfing is easier, but I couldn't with DS it just didn't work. Prepare for the sanctimommies to bash you...

See to me, breast feeding was so much harder!
I think if dh wasn't deployed it would have worked better. I made it almost to my goal of 3 months so I'm proud of that but I feel bad that it stressed me out so much that I didn't like her as much as I could have.

I am all for breastfeeding but seriously, you need to take care of yourself.

When we become new mommies, we pretty much forget to take care of ourselves.  We are so wrapped up in all the comes with being a new mommy that we put ourselves and our health on the back burner.  I think when someone becomes a new mommy, us other mommies need to tell her to think about herself and take care of herself.  If that means bottle feeding b/c breastfeeding takes a toll mentally and physically, then do it.  If it means disposable vs cloth, then use the disposables, etc.
