The reason is because we know more now and can diagnose it better.

there's been advances in research to broaden the definition of autism, not a rise of children being diagnosed.

plus i think that a lot of kids are misdiagnosed.

No . I think its genetic in some way . I know lots of people with autistic children and have worked with many families with autistic children . On average if the family had three or more children with the same parents they had more than one autistic child
