Starts by choice.....grows to addiction and if not dealt with will consume your body into illness :(

I see it as a social thing in most cases. But for someone suffering from addiction who can't get away, it is like a disease. If my mum even stRts thinking about using she shows signs of being sick and using. Hell even if I think about a certain drug ny heart races and I literally feel as though I've used it.
Drinking though is purely social for me. Or enjoying a glass of wine with my so at dinner.
Other drugs I have zero want or thought about doing. Most I won't ever touch period, and a couple I would do socially. It's all about each different persons tolerance and addiction levels to me.

It depends. If it affects your daily life as in your job, family and ability to care for your self then you clearly have a problem that needs addressed.
