DO you think poor people should not have bikes for their kids?

If a person is so poor they have to get food boxes and get their clothes from clothing banks and have a hard time paying their bills monthly do you think the kids in that family should NOT have a bicycle?

I don't think this. This was brought up in a conversation by another mom I know who said she didn't think poor people should have bikes because it could be sold to buy food.
I was only asking to see if anyone else thought the same way.

 I think that if their parents can afford to buy them a bike, & they want to buy them one, what the hell do I care?  When I see a kid riding down the road I don't stop them & ask for their parent's tax records before they can pass.

I don't see why poor people should be banned from having bikes. That's more than a little ridiculous.

Because they are rescues. They had just gotten them a few days earlier. You should see them now WOW you would have NO idea they were rescues.

You can get a bike at yard sale for $5.00. Maybe it was a hand-me-down.

Of course they should have a bike. The children shouldn't have to go without EVERYTHING just because the parents are struggling.

Those are the kids that actually appreciate their bikes. They put them up so nobody steals it, they take care of it.

If anything, they're the kids who SHOULD have the bikes.
