If you mean the presidential elections, practically no ones vote counts, they don't give a shit about the popular vote

Hell no. When my electoral college can vote for whoever they want my vote doesn't really matter.

The electoral college has voted differently than the popular vote in only a handful of elections. During Obama's election, there was a big surge in youth and minority voters.
I don't think the EC is the problem, it's the good ole boy system that produces the candidates that is the problem.
