When kids have screwed up teeth because of a pacifier, and the parents continue to give them a paci! I mean whatever, to each their own. But it's a bit rediculous that you would rather your kid have screwed up teeth than listen to them cry for a minute.

No, it's ridiculous when you make a rant, and know that the other CMs are going to poke at it and yet you let the spelling error remain.

Oh yes because the crying only lasts 1 minute not any longer ever.

meh...it's actually said that paci's don't cause messed up teeth that a child is more likely to get a messed up jaw structure from sucking a thumb or from sippy cups that are too hard to get fluid out of. My DS had a paci and gave it up on his own around 7 months. his teeth and jaw structure are fine.

That's another thing that irks me. Seriously, you feel so low about yourself that you have to go pick out every single spelling error on cafemom. Go pay attention to your kid.

You DO realize that baby teeth aren't permanent, don't you?

I don't care how long it lasts. When it comes to my child's health, and yes teeth are part of their health, I would rather hear him cry all day. Buy some damn ear plugs if you can't handle it. Don't ruin your child's teeth.

My DD hasn't had a pacifier since she was two months old. Her teeth seem to be a bit crooked like her dad's but I think when she's old enough to oil pull with me they'll straighten out!
