I am 31 wks pregnant and have been bleeding and passing clots, big clots this has happened 3x. The first time I went to the ER by ambulance b/c I thought I was having a placents abruption. I had never seen so much blood the hospital ran all kinds of test and said they couldn't see anything not even on the ultra sound that would support a placenta preva. The 2nd and 3rd time I just drove myself to the ER and still nothing. I have been placed on total bedrest and told I will probably deliver before my 35th week... I know this sounds horrible but im at the point that if she is gona come early then come on b/c I feel like im a prisoner of my own body and im scared that I will be in the car and she'll just decide to come before I can get to the hospital and for this I have cancelled all appts but its like if I do nothing for the next 3-4 wks I could lose so much stuff. Has this ever happened to anybody? And when did you deliver? Did they ever find out afterwards what was going on?

People are saying they should just take her b/c losing so much blood could be loss of nutrients from the placenta getting to the baby so im wondering that too, if waiting is such a good idea still birth is a fear of mine and I just can't imagine having to deal with that.

My best friend had a similar situation when she was pregnant with her dd. I was there every step of the way with her. She said the doctor found fibroids in her Uterus that seperated the placenta from the wall. She just had to take it easy & not over exhert herself for 3 months!!! She is ok now.

Did you go on bedrest? Im almost scared to get on my feet to shower or use the rest room.

I had blood vessels in my cervix, which was covered by the placenta, that did that. It was scary but I carried baby girl to term.

Im in fear of everything even having bowel movements. I don't want to induce the bleeding.

I had an emergency c section due to placenta previa. My son was born at 34 weeks. I was bleeding blood red and my dr said it was nothing. The placenta came out at work.... It was horrifying. I don't wish that on anyone. I would bet its previa they just arent caring too much to really look into it. I wish the best for you and your baby.
