Sorry..i just don't do bugs..even dead ones.
I wouldn't go quite that far but I also will crush it with something and then leave it for DH to clean up. I have also left my apartment and went some where else for the day until DH comes home. There was a huge spider and I was too scared to kill it so we ran away. :/ We being my 4 year old DD and me. You aren't alone, sadly.
They die quicker if you use a lighter with that spray ;)

At least you can kill it i would sit in the corner n cry until my hubby got home lol well only with spiders i'm horrified of them idk y. But i can do other bugs usually that is when the vacuum is my best friend! lol
LOL back when we had our apartment, our nasty neighbors had roaches that came into our unit. I have a bad fear of those things and when hubby was out of town for work, it was all I could do to kill those suckers. I would trap them and leave them until he came home. Finally, after he came home one time to the bathroom completely shut off with an upturned transcan with books on top of it (with a note telling him what was in there), he bought me a can of Raid. I still couldn't touch them so he'd come home to piles of paper towels everywhere to cover them up, LOL.
That's the ugliest name everrrr!!!
