I confess I hate my husbands kids and I finally told him today. EDIT

I've never come flat out and said I hate your kids to him but today I did. He said he knows how I felt, but it felt good to finally say it. Now I won't say why I don't like them because it might give me away! Lol but I will just say I'm glad my husband and I are on the same page finally. Feels good to not have to try to sugarcoat my feelings when he brings them up. Anyone else not like their husbands kids?
EDIT: they are 15 and 17 and do not live anywhere close to us. Hubby does not have any contact with them because they never answer their phones, fb, email. Other than christmas timewhen they want something. Then we get them giftcards instead of the newest phone or computer, etc and then when they realize they're not getting it they stop talking to him.

I think you can hate them and still treat them ok, I don't think I hate my sd, but I don't like her at all ( she's an adult now) I didn't enjoy her as a child either but I was still kind and treated her fairly. This is definatly one of those "until you've lived it" situations" .

If you and your husband are on the same page and both hate the kids,  then you are both miserable people !

At first it makes you look like a horrible person and then I realized they may be adults that are abusive or taking advantage of ya'll and I get that.

No... My stbxh's kids were wonderful. I always liked them. I always loved them. I still love them and I am still a major part of their life. I am sorry your relationship with your husband's kids isn't as beautiful as it could be.

I don't "hate" my DHs kids but it just gets frustrating sometimes, they are so ungrateful and take advantge of him 24/7 they are grown kids and refuse to work and spend all of his money and he allows this and that drives me nuts!! Ugh ok vent over

I LOVE my husbands kids. They are mine, in all ways but blood. Sorry I can not see how people can apply the word hate to children. Dislike, sure, not everyone is gonna like every person they meet, but hate? Very strong powerful word and kids have no control over the adults in their lives. Sad if you ask me, the person next to biology that could have the biggest impact on them...hates them. Nice.

I don't "like" my DH's kids. But I treat them how I'm suppose to.
