I am poor and tonight all we had was stuff to make my slop which consists of Ground beef (i drain the fat) Minute Rice and Cream of chicken with mixed veggies ( Corn carrot and peas) I don't know if this is bad for the family but it makes everyone full tho I make sure all eats Why do I feel like a bad mother i have seen posts about how great y'all feed your kids and stuff and i feel bad because i still cant find work to give my kids a better life . :(

Yes and for 2 kids and 2 adults they give us 280 in Food stamps and i have not gotten my food stamps this month wont till the 9th

I completly understand. I am getting $150/month in foodstamps for 5 people, three kids and two adults. They don't count two of the kids because they are only with us one week on and one week off and their mother gets foodstamps for them, so we can't. they are my SO's from a previous relationship. I am also pregnant. I only buy meat, milk, butter and eggs with our food stamps. Its enough to fill the freezer. I grow my own corn, tomatoes, patotoes, celery, broccoli, colouflour, strawberries, peppers, cucumbers, onions.... anything i can get to grow in this Michigan soil. We also hunt, we love deer meat and turkey meat. We have learned to make a little go a long ways. I also don't get much because i work a full time job and they dont take into consideration that i spend over $500/month alone in gas to get back and forth to work, its over an hour drive one way. Your not alone, and as long as your kids are fed, you are okay, doesn't matter if its not super healthy.
