epidural question

When u have a vag birth with an epidural do u still get the rush of endorphins and stuff? I had a c section with my first and I was just wondering. I couldn't.do it without the epi and was originally planning a second c section but I really want to feel that rush and excitement after a vag delivery. But if u don't get it with an epi then I'll just do the c section as planned.

I was miserable after my first 2. I barely remember it. My 3rd I got the epi. It was the most rewarding, most memorable, and easiest of my 3

I've had 2 c-sections... After my  1st was delivered and given to me I was full of joy and all... when my 2nd was born I was in a critical condition and was completely numb... I just hugged my little guy ( I was in disbelief) and then they escorted my nb son and dh out of the operating room because of my stats. So I have no idea !

I got the shakes and pukiness after my 3 deliveries with a epi so obviously I'm not the one to look to for advice.

So, did u get that emotional high? I know this makes me sound like a junkie or something but I just feel like I missed out on that by having the section and I want to experience it, but not the pain.

I had an epidural with both of mine. I don't know if I experienced the same "rush of hormones" like they always describe, but I did bawl like a baby when I saw their faces, and was very impatient to hold them. I'm a highly emotional person, though, and my body rejects numbing medication after a short period, so that might have been it. In fact, the epi had worn off with my second, and they were getting another dose ready, but I said, time to push! Dunno if that made a difference. I had a crazy amount of drugs with him.
I want to go natural with this one, and be in charge of my own birth. I'll let you know in November how it was!

Here's a bump. Haven't been in that situation.

I felt the rush and excitement with all my kids and I did it without an epidural, the emotions I felt for all were amazing.
