Have you ever lived in a motel?

I hate where I live. I can't even have a
window A/C because the wiring is so old,
my neighbors are outside making noise at
all hours, and I have to take a cab home
two nights a week and to work one morning
a week because of bus schedule changes.
It's just my teenager and I, and I would
actually save a little bit of money each
month by living in a kitchenette room by
my work while I look for a better house or
apartment. Would you consider it?

If it would save money to get in a better place yes. It can cost alot to take cabs every week and that money could be saved being closer to work. Since it is just u and a teen I don't see a problem just make sure teen has the door locked when u r not there. Is it at least a decent kitchenette hotel. In a safe area that teen would be OK without u there with them. I would think of those things too. But I think if it saves u money to be able to live better then do it.

I did. There were 6 of us in one room. It was not fun. We did it because we had nowhere else to go. My parents, my two sisters my 4 month old and myself. We were there for 5 months.

We did it before for a month. It wasn't too bad, but it didn't feel too much like home either. Maybe it would have if we settled in. When times are tough you do whatever you can.

I did it with my family for a bit after Katrina... If you need to go for it, it's not that bad
