I am pregnant by my older bf and his kids aren't happy

I am 27 and my bf is 43. His oldest child is 25 and his youngest is 16. He has 7 grandchildren. This wasn't planned but it just happened. His older daughters are making remarks like that baby will have nieces and nephews older than it and that their dad is crazy and we should terminate or give it up for adoption. This is my 2nd child and his 5th. I am happy and so is he. Why can't they be happy for us? How would you feel if you had a new sibling in your 20s? I know it's weird but they don't need to be mean.

It would be very weird, but they will get used to it.

I think they are just going to have to get over it. Congrats on the pregnancy though! :)

Every family is different. I just had my second child with SO and his oldest is 19. SO is 39 and I am 25. He has 3 grandchildren. (His two oldest are teen parents, 17 and 19.) It is unconventional to say the least, but I have to think they should be happy to have a new sibling, no matter the age.

I'd be grossed the hell out. If my dad had kid now that would be disturbing.
I would how ever get over it

They need to stop being selfish. SO is 44 and I'm 29. We plan on TTC after marrying in the spring. Luckily he doesn't have offspring to make such comments.
