My LO (10 weeks) loves to suck in between feedings but does not require it to sleep. How many hours or times a day do you think is excessive use of a binky? He doesn't get the binky until all avenues are excersised. It's weird everyone uses binky to sleep LO's but I use binky to keep LO awake and happy. Backwards.

Personally i wouldn't use one. N you have an advantage of its not required to sleep. Ide toss it n give him a teether for "mouth play"
