well I guess your judgement would depend on which store I am at. lol
I'll never understand why people have this obsession with what's in someone elses grocery cart! There's a whole lot more in the world to be curious about.
I never notice. I'm usually daydreaming in the checkout line.
I don't usually look. Sometimes if a person is very overweight and their cart is filled with junk food I notice, but that's really only if their cart is right next to my cart.
As for the checkout line, I only notice how someone pays if they use a check because they take a long time. I don't stand close enough to see what kind of card people use, and I would be super creeped out if someone was breathing over my shoulder to see how I pay for my food. That's why I'm baffled when I see posts about one person noticing that how another person paid. I usually think it's a troll unless the op is the cashier, lol.
I don't know. I feel like I barely notice what the person ahead or behind me in line has. Could be because I'm generally wrangling a 2 and 4 year old, though. LOL
Just last night I had a strange thing happen in the store, though. The man ahead of me at the checkout took a really long stare at what was in my cart and then got this huge, weird grin on his face. I can't for the life of me figure out what was so funny because the items in my cart were literally: orange juice, milk, cereal, blueberries, carrots, bananas and spinach. That's it. Nothing even remotely weird or unhealthy or anything. Very basic items. Must have reminded him of something entertaining!
Quoting RhondaVeggie:Me too. I think everyone does whether they admit it or not.
I'm not obsessed. But I will look and get ideas for meals. lol Not all the time.
