Why do ppl ask me this?

Why do people ask me if my fourth baby is a girl or boy? I have 3 boys (and had a stepson) so I dont understand since I dont remember ever being asked if they were a girl or boy. Also, I am extremely gender specific. Her carseat and some baby objects are from the boys, but I have added pink to the gender nuetral things. She is always in a dress/skirt and pink or purple. She is in an orange dress with a pink cat on the front. Yet, I was asked 5 times in one shopping trip what her gender is? Someone explain.

5 stupid people in the same store at the same time? What are the odds?

I've never had someone ask about gender (I guess I have an especially masculine baby?), but I've been asked multiple times if he's my baby brother.

People are stupid. They just smoke a bit to much crack.

They're not stupid. They just don't want to say the wrong gender.

Same reason that when I took my infant son out shopping wearing OshKosh overalls, a red t shirt, red tennis shoes, and a red baseball cap people commented on "how pretty she is"!  ... they're stupid.

I have the opposite problem people think my YDD(1 yo) is my ODD(16 yo) baby. Drives her and me crazy.
