I don't do it in the house. I know intellectually how bad it is for me and that it will probably kill me, but I have no desire to quit. I'm sad that my kids will probably pick it up from me, but I still can't quit. :(

I read it's more addictive than other drugs.

I'm quitting for my 30th birthday. I'm not happy about it because I enjoy it more than just about anything during my day (sneaking off alone or talking to other smokers outside at work). I quit doing drugs a long time ago and I rarely drink so it's the only escape I have. I have an addictive personality so I'm nervous about what I'll replace the habit with (anything but Jesus lol).

Congrats!
Almost seven years for me :) I can't believe I managed to do it and keep away for so long. It was the hardest thing I think I've ever had to do out of willpower alone!

I wouldn't have quit, but my DD asked me to. It will be two years next month.

My mom smoked my whole childhood. Inside the house, the car...So did my friends whose parents smoked. Out of all of us (9 kids total) only 2 smoke so far. My younger sis smoked but stopped and I did it off and on for a long time, though never became addicted. The youngest 2 haven't touched ciggs yet but we'll see. It just depends...I don't like the smell or the taste it leaves in my mouth.
