would you pay $40 for a pair of shoes for a 3 month old, a 1 yr old or a 4 yr old???

I spend about 35-40 on a pair of shoes for my 4 yo DS...maybe it's because he's my only child

I wouldn't, they'd be outgrown too quickly for that to be worth it to me.  But if someone else has an excess of money and doesn't mind wasting it?  That's their decision.

For the 4 year old, yes. For the babies, absolutely not. Their feet grow far too quickly at that age.

It sucks, but they need good shoes when they're very young. As ridiculously expensive as it is, I'll say yay.

I'm going to Stride Rite this week for my 1 year old myself.

Sure we have, both my girls now 20 months and 4 years old have jordans. My oldest also has DC. My youngest will to here soon. Thet also have shoes from walmart lol

For the older one yes, the babies, .. eh, ok for the 3 month old no.  The 1 yr old, if walking or learning to walk, probably.  We bought our little girl some at stride rite, the pre-walker ones for around 35ish.  The 3 month old though, prob not.  I love baby toes.  But that's just me.
