Yes. It's true. If you receive the EITC, then I don't want to hear it from you. Get off your high horse. You are no better than any of the other mother using any form of public assistance.
ETA: Personally, DH and I have received the EITC most years. This is not an attack on those who receive it. I'm simply asking members who do receive it to think twice about judging members who receive other forms of public assistance (particularly those who feel the need to shame mothers that choose to stay home). The EITC is a form of public assistance because it is only available to those that fall into a specific income category and is not available to everyone. The government recognizes that children are expensive and chooses to invest in them.
