I woke up this morning to discover my car had been broken into....inside of a secure lot. Go figure. It took 4 hours for an officer to come out (cause ya know, I didn't things to get done today) and all he did was look at the damage and give me a card with a case number. There is blood and finger prints, and he refused to take samples. What the fucking hell is wrong with my local PD?

Trust me the justice system sucks every where. I was currently living with my mom due to my high risk pregnancy but had to go live with my boyfriend because my moms boyfriends son tried to attack her and has stolen everything valuable from her home...comes is all hours of the night and when he cant get in he breaks in....mind you hes 16 with seriouse mental issues and the courts wont do shit. So now I cant even stay in my own home because its not safe.

So a car that is broken into should be dealt with before say, a woman who was just beat by her husband, a rape, or a murder?

When my car got broken into here, they told me they would not even look for who did it (and yes, refused to take fingerprints). The chance of a conviction was so low they wouldn't even try. Same thing for car theft around here, they told me when our truck was stolen, the only way they would catch the thief was if they just "happened" on it. (They didn't, nor was the truck ever recovered).
But, it's better than where my son lives. There, they won't even come out for a car prowl or car theft - you call it in and they give you a case number for insurance and that's it.
