Just took my 2 yr old dd to the clinic because she had sores all over her butt. They said she has chicken pox! She's been getting the sores off and on for almost a month now, but it would be like one or two, where as today her butt was COVERED. I didn't know chicken pox lasted that long... And she got the vaccine. She hasn't been acting sick at all, no fever no grumpyness, nothing. I can't take her to her ped, we don't have insurance and I don't have 100$ to pay him :(

Was she scratching? Seem like if it was chicken pox you'd know, right?

No they are open sores. She has had hives before. The ones on her butt now look like little pimples, with a few of the big open sores too

IMO, that does not sound like chicken pox.

Who said you still can't get it? It's just not as bad as it could have been.

My dd had chicken pox when she was two, they started out on her tummy and spread from there. She only had them for a week. This doesn't sound like chicken pox. I would get a second opinion and fight to get him to see a dermatologist, they are really good about different rashes and this sort of thing.

What's ou Boole? I gave her a bath with aveeno and rubbed some cream on her butt. I've got a prescription for antibotics and a different cream to get tomorrow
