Well a lot of people would love to spend hours in the kitchen. Its not a bad or rare thing, but I agree, it's not for me.

I love being in the kitchen. My kids love to help me. One way we spend a lot of time togehter is baking :)

you can make healthy meals without spending hours in the kitchen.

Crockpot is a great tool to utilize.

As for OP, I am also fairly modern. I love that there are things like dishwashers and such to make my housework quick and easy =) I alos enjoy the useful time/money saving inof I find using the interwebz.
