Poo

Well my son has been sick lately constantly crying and we just recently found out he has strep throat.

I just went to change his diaper and this is what was inside. It looks white? I'm concerned. Has anyone experienced poop like this. Our drs office is closed today and I really don't want to have to take him to the er. But I will if I have to.

Looks fine... not really that white

My kids have light hoop if they've been sick for a while.

I don't know. Is he on medication. For the strep throat? Maybe that's effecting it? My guess is keep him hydrated until you figure it out.

Thank you. It just scared me in a first time mommy and my family lives in another state so I can't really get much advice from them it's been years since they all had babies

Oh antibiotics change it a lot for many.

If he is on them make sure he isn't taking the med on an empty stomach & drinking plenty of fluids.

If possible not milk either, that can upset the tummy more.

He doesn't have to eat much, just not completely empty.

Goldfish, crackers, bread, cereal (dry), things like that.

Antibiotics can be very harsh on the tummy, including the easy ones like penicillin.

I know I said not much dairy but some greek yogurt would be good bc it has natural probiotics in it which will help ease the affects of the antibiotics.
