Not! Dd did something to her finger this morning I noticed the skin broken and I figure she has gotten it stuck in the table drawer. Well about 2 she started throwing up. She has gotten sick twice. I took her temp it was 101.3. I gave her advil and a look warm bath her fever stayed at 101.1. We sat down to eat dinner she wanted nothing to do with it. She started screaming. I picked her up she was burning up. I took her temp and it was 102.0 I call the pedi office and they said just give her pedialite(sp)and switch back and forth between advil and tylenol. I asked about her finger and the nurse said she doubt it would be related. She has done nothing but sleep most of the day. She doesn't want to play. Her finger looked like it was getting worse I had my fil look at it. He thinks it may be a spider bite because it is swollen. I haven't seen a spider in the house. Her fever has been playing the up and down game. But not breaking under 101.1. I am seriously hoping it isn't a spider bite. And that she just caught it in the drawer.

Update
Sorry I haven't been able to update until now the baby woke up after I posted and then we were triaged. She had a 102 temp when they triaged her. They gave her some motrin. He finger is OK. No spider bite thank god. She is how ever broken a rash the dr said she had a viral infection that its been going around. Just to watch her and make sure she drinks enough liquids. And that she doesn't get any worse. I will make a appt tomorrow.

well in the mean time put neosporin or peroxide or something on the finger to help kill any infection there might be. keep a bandaid on it to prevent anything from irritating it. Can you post a pic of it so we can see how bad it is? If you're really concerned go to the ER or an urgent care.

No I asked about setting one up for tomorrow. But the nurse said to call in the morning because she didn't think it was serious.

They're taking it as seriously as you are. You're still at home. If you think there's a problem, you don't have to wait for an invitation to the ER.

Black widows and brown recluse are the venomous ones. Usually just wolf spiders in the house.

I have she pulls the band aids off. We have been sitting in the er since 830 and her finger keeps looking worse.
