You track your cycles and learn when you ovulate so you either use condoms or abstain during your fertile period (usually about 5ish days per cycle).

I had the Essure procedure done. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone honestly. Go have a regular tubal done if you don't want more children. Essure is horrible!
