I hated the pill. I hated taking it every day and I hated that it completely killed my sex drive. After we were done having kids I got my tube tied. Such a load off my mind. Nothing to remember everyday and no oopsies.
Could never remember the pill, got pregnant. Was on depo, it was okay but the doc made me get off of it because he said I had been on it too long (I was military so they have that kind of say). Now I have the Mirena IUD, it works and at the end of the day that's what matters!

ParaguardHow was the insertion?
Quoting LizzieAnnesMom:Nuva Ring. Works great so far. We have had 2 daughters. we wont ttc till next year.
The Nuvaring was excellent for me until last week. After using it for around six years, it has started to affect my blood sugar level (I have Type II Diabetes and posted this in another group). When I took it out for the week of withdrawl bleeding (or period), my blood sugar was between 90-140 (non-diabetics tend to be between 90-120 before meals). When I insert the ring, the next morning (before eating), my blood sugar was 190 (like I just came from McDonald's and supersized shit). So today I went to my physician and she said that the Nuvaring can impact diabetes, so she wrote me a prescription for Loestrin 24Fe. I hope it works.
