I have an issue with some food stamp people too.

I am not against them because times are hard and sometimes you need a hand - it's nothing to be ashamed about.  One of my best friends was on food stamps growing up because she was being raised by a single mom who had a minimum wage job and we live in NY, so it's expensive.

I do, like you, have a problem seeing people on food stamps who have all these nice little luxuries that some of us others who aren't on food stamps can't afford.  A large SUV...a new iPhone...you would think that they would be smarter and more discreet about their money.  It bothers me to see people on public assistance and flaunt pricey material things because it feels like they are taking advantage of the system, therefore, taking advantage of me.

I used to work at Family Dollar and I'd see this all the time! It drove me crazy!! We'd have these women come in with 4, 5, and 6 kids, with her hair done, her nails, with her Coach purse driving her jacked up SUV with rims and her iPhone with her expensive clothes, while her kids were dirty wearing clothes that didn't fit, then swipe her FS card. It pissed me off to no end. I'm all about getting help if you it, but she didn't seem to be struggling at all!

Guess what... I receive food stamps. I have an iPhone and a nice SUV. My payments for my SUV are very low. It was either that or no vehicle. My iPhone was purchased before we needed food stamps. Oh and the coach purse I carry? Was my sisters she gave it to me. Think before you judge!!

How do you know she bought herself the iphone?

How do you know she's the one paying the phone bill?

How do you know she bought that truck?

How do you know it is even her truck?

Know the story before you get yourself pissed off!!!!!

You personally do not know these people's stories or what they are going through so who is anybody to say anything about other people they dont know personally.  Maybe they had a good life before and have had these things for a while and hit a rough spot in life for a bit maybe the husband got sick and couldnt work maybe one of the kids got cancer or something and the mom stopped working to take care of her child you just never know so please dont judge.
