I'm so embarrassed....

Dh and I were doing some yardwork yesterday which was really overdue since he works such long hours and he never has the time to help me out....I would do more outside in the yard but I do not know how to do any kind of yard work besides pulling weeds. I don't know how to trim the hedges or cut the grass, I don't know how to lay sod or mulch or anything like that...I feel so embarrassed admitting that I never had to do that as a kid but I want my daughters to be different I just need DH to be willing to teach me! Argh...

Is there anything around the house you don't know how to do?

I JUST learned how to use a lawn mower last month! lol.. DH taught me how to use the weed whacker too, but that thing scares me.. So, that's still his job :P
I kind of enjoy mowing the lawn..lol..it's fun.

I can mow, but i live in the desert now and don't have grass, other than that, I can pull weeds. Luckily, our yard has just turf and rocks.

My hubby is much better at anything "handy" then I am.  He is also the resident technology expert... I swear I send off some signal that causes electronics to stop working!

I love cutting the grass. I get to sit on my ass and get something done while df plays with DS, & get a tan!

Mowing is easy.  Just turn it on and go back and forth.  Trimming hedges... yeah, guys' job. Laying mulch??  Really?  Dump the bag and spread it out. It's not rocket science.

I pretty much know how to do all of the housework. The only thing I won't is electrical.

You don't have to be embarrassed. Every person hasn't done every job out there. There are things you might have to show him how to do. He should understand that you might have never done yardwork before :)
