If, that is, you are hoping that he will take care of you. My ex had an affair and I caught him (saw the text messages). I filed for divorce. I have been a stay at home mom for 12 years with our 4 kids. Well I have my RN and I worked PRN (which is 1 shift every 2 weeks) just to keep my license up but for the most part I was at home, I did all the housework, laundry, I ran all the errands, did all of the cooking and drove the kids around. My ex went to work and that's it, he had no other responsibilities. We were living a pretty good life, very comfortable he was making about $7000 a month. Well the woman he was having an affair with wanted him to leave me, he didn't want to (again, all in the texts) because he had a good life. So she got pregnant, thinking then he would leave me and take care of her and she would get to be a SAHM with their baby. Like I said, when I caught him, I left him (well actually, I kicked him out) and then he went with her, after he had told her that he was staying with me. The judge ordered $2650 a month in child support and $1000 a month in alimony. Plus he has to keep the kids on his insurance, pay 75% of all activities that we already have them in (which will be about $500 a month) and he has to pay 50% of all copays. At the end of the month, that $7000 is less then $3000 AND now the OW gets to live the the knowledge that she was second choice. Also I got to keep the house!!!!!! (I was able to pay it off with my half of his retirement :) I am working 2 shifts a week and laughing at my ex and his whore. Also, since the kids know about the affair the judge said she can't be there when the kids are there for the next year :)

Actually, I love that story. So does the OW get to be a SAHM or does she have to work?
I really don't know but I would think she will probably have to work. Either that or they will be living on $2800 which I know is VERY doable but my ex likes nice things. He is very into his golf and vacations so I woub be willing to bet he will want her to keep working
