depends on if it's contested or not, or if there are children to consider, or a great deal of marital property. the more ya'll argue about things, the more it will cost. I know when I worked for divorce attorneys, the going rate was $250/hr, with a $5000 retainer up front. but that was a long time ago, and they were more high end than your average joe.
most attorneys will give you a free consultation, where you can discuss some of the fine points of your case and get a good idea of what they will be able to do to help you and about how much you can expect to pay.
I paid a $5000 retainer and then $300 an hour for mine.
