CONDOMS IF THEY ASKED FOR THEM?
No this isn't for me. I just got into work and on the way here on the radio they had asked "If your 12yr old asked for condoms, would you buy them or what steps would you take from there?"
MY ANSWER: Hell no! A 12yr old has no business having sex! They don't know the responsiblities that come with it. Im proud they know they have to be safe but forreal thats WAY too young!! I would honestly find some way for him to understand there is always time to be an adult but he/she is a child still and need to live out their childhood!
EDIT #1: IT JUST GOT ME THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY HAD SAID ALSO-IF WE SAY YES TO THE CONDOMS-WHICH AGAIN, I WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT.....iF THEY CAME TO YOU AT 16 AND ASKED FOR ALCOHOL TO DRINK AT HOME WOULD YOU GET IT?
MY ANSWER: THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 18-19 AND ILL GET IT BUT THEY ARE STAYING HOME AND NO CAR KEYS FOR THEM.
EDIT #2. OK im not saying im going to go out and but my 19 yr old a 24 pack or a bottle of Bacardi-NO. Im saying if he/she I think can handle a little bit while in my presence then yes. I grew up like that and im sure as hell not a huge drinker. I know my limits-I know not to drink and drive.
yes, I'd rather have him get them from me than somewhere else, and maintain the open communication that we have. they're going to have sex whether you get them or not (goodness, kids are having sex at school),and I'd rather my children be protected.

I would hope that my parenting would have them making better, smarter choices at that age.
yes I would then we would have a long talk, and I'd lock her in the basement.
