Someone tell me your scary pregnancy moments (Updated)

that turned out okay.

I woke up this morning and I am spotting. I am not cramping. The thing is that my nausea dropped significantly the last 2 days and the diarrhea I was having as a side effect completely stopped at the same time.

I am trying to worry and tell myself it is nothing, but it isn't working. I am wanting to go in the bathroom and wipe obsessively to see if the blood is still there.

I need to hear good stories so I don't worry so much.

Update~

It seems the bleeding has stopped for now.

I spoke with my midwife.  I am scheduled to see her Thursday to listen for the heartbeat and will be having an u/s in a couple of weeks.  She asked me if I wanted to do either of those things sooner.  I decided not too since the bleeding has stopped and I am not cramping.  I am just going to go ahead as planned unless something changes.

How far along are you, Ms. Mouse?

If you're scared, it's absolutely OK to go to the ER and get checked out....I think right now that's the most supportive thing I can tell you...because stories about how it worked out for me aren't really going to make you stop worrying (hug)....but a check up with a Dr. can make it all better....

Is the blood brown or red? Is there a lot of it or is it just a smear on the paper?

I went into labor a week and an half after my due date. Went to hospital at 6 am. By noon I was still only dialated to 1. They sent me home 20 minutes later I went back. I kept telling them that I was ready to have her and they didn't believe me. 22 hours later I was still only dilated to 1. Exhausted and defeated I gave in and got an epidural. The epidural sent me into shock and I blacked out. Had to get a shot of epinephrin. Got me stable and my dd's heart rate dropped. She was in the birth canal do long and the little episode disnt help. My midwife checked me and there was a blockage (collagen) that was preventing me from dilating. She touched it and it broke. I went from 1 to 10 within a minute and 2 pushes later I had my dd. Because she was in the birth canal so long so literally swam out in a pool of blood. She aspirated on some and had to go get suctioned out. I didn't get to hold my baby for 45 minutes while they fixed us up. I was terrified. But I have a perfectly healthy 3 1/2 year old :)

how far are you?I was thinking maybe they can let you hear the heartbeat and it would help put your mind at ease or see the baby on the ultrasound. My youngest I had a very hard pregnancy and so many times I almost lost him but he is 2 yrs old strong lil fighter 34wker just think positive and like I said if your worried just see if they can let you hear the heartbeat or see him/her on screen. Good Luck honey try not to worry. Go get a good back massage from DH relax put your feet up and sip on some ice tea or smoothie maybe listen to relaxing music. Think good thoughts!!!

There really isn't a reason to go to the ER. There isn't really anything they can do for me other than worry me some more.

I went in for cramping and bleeding at 5 weeks with my last, they did an u/s, saw a sac, told me the pregnancy wasn't viable, and sent me home. He is 10 years old. All they did was make me more scared for no reason.

if your that worried go in don't wait around.

If you have had sex recently that could be the cause. I think it has something to do with all the blood vessels down there. My sister went to the ER for spotting and that's one of the first questions they asked her. Turns out she and my bil had sex the night before. I now have a healthy 3 1/2 year old nephew

Ditto here. I knew I was pg and thought I was losing the baby, the doc performed an uls and said, the "babies look fine."

They are healthy 9yr old boys now ;)

I had early spotting too, everything was fine.
My last trimester I had horrible dreams CONSTANTLY that the cord was wrapped around dds leg so tight they had to amputate her legs. When she was born I heard the midwife say "the cord is around her foot" Exdh and I both started to freak out. But she was ok. Within a few weeks her foot was totally normal and you can't even tell.
