Why do people get drunk at concerts? Video posted

A friend and I went to a concert last night and on the row in front of us on each side were drunk people. Obnoxious drunk people. One caused a fight that I got on video and uploaded to YouTube and the others were just annoying. I just don't understand the draw of getting shit faced drunk at a damn concert. The two men who were just being annoying eventually sat down and one of the guys fell asleep. They paid 130 bucks for a ticket and fell asleep????? I just can't understand that.

Let me clarify: drunk doesn't mean a beer or two, that I understand. Hell I had a strawberry margarita last night and I was buzzed. I just don't understand the people who drink until they can't stand straight.

 We went to a concert 2 years ago.. These idiots besides us were so trashed, and WORSE tey were giving alcohol to an underage girl woh started puking EVERYWHERE! They had to leave before it started! What a waste of $$...and I hope they got in trouble for the girl. I dont like getting drunk at a concert, but I get a little buzz going.. Makes it more easy to jump up and sing at the top of my lungs with everyone else :)

I see this way more at country shows than I ever do at rock shows. Even at hardcore punk shows, I feel safer than I do at a country show. Drunk rednecks all over, looking to fight, security is lax as hell because the common "wisdom" is that this doesn't happen at a country show, when in fact, as a couple people here have reinforced, it's rampant. Would never take family there, unless I wanted to explain why this girl here is puking or sleeping, why the guy over there is screaming "fuck yeah" at the top of his lungs, while two of his buddies over here beat the snot out of each other. That's entertainment.

You can't police anyone but yourself. You can't control how other people will treat you but you can control the situations you put yourself in. If I do not get drunk, refuse drinks from others, drink my drink the second I get it, watch how it's made and who handles it, and keep an eye on my glass my changes of date rape go down significantly. 

Harm punishments sentimental reduce crimes. Changes in societies value system's do. Changing every one's attitudes takes forever, however change for yourself can be set in place immediately.

I enjoy getting shit faced drunk at concerts...i don't understand why people don't. I'm at a fucking concert having a blast...alcohol goes GREAT with concerts. Why not?

Just an FYI - not all people who drink behave the same. probably %90 of the people at that concert had an alcoholic beverage...did they ALL behave the same? No....quit judging people who don't have sticks up their butts & like to have a drink.
