I just got my dad's girlfriend fired

She works at a hopspital in medical records. I had my baby at that hospital several months ago. My brother came home from his visit with our dad saying that dad's girlfriend made a comment about my baby having the cord wrapped around his neck when he was born and that he might be "special". No one knew about the cord being wrapped besides the medical staff, me, my DH and my mom. We didn't even tell my brothers or dad or anyone else. That's when I realized that she must have looked up my medical records, that is illegal, it's a HIPPA violation. I called the hospital to talk to someone about it. They checked and they saw that yes, she did look up my records, they said that they will speak with her. I said "if she is not fired, I will file a complaint with HIPPA". If I did that, HIPPA would issue the hospital a MAJOR fine. So my brother just said my dad called and said that she has been fired. Severes her right!!!

I don't think she should've done it but getting a potential future step mom fired is kinda fucked up. She might of been dumb to do it but maybe she had serious concerns about your child.

I haven't talked to my dad in over a year, she has nothing to do with my child and she knows well that what she did was illegal and it violated my privacy.
