I just got home from my 20 week scan and the doctor said it looks like the baby has a duplex kidney. I'm scared and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with their child. The doctor said it's nothing to worry about right now, but how could I not worry about it?

I did a quick google search, so basically she has more then the 2 kidneys...on or two of them have a match.
The risk associated with it look very similar to my dd who has Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney. In my dd's case she has one functioning kidney and one kidney that is a cystic mass (lloks like grapes). We have never had an issue, no UTI's, bladder infections...nothing. She lives a perfectly normal life.
I wouldn't worry just yet.
