breastfeed with my son who is now 4 but i want to be able to breastfeed with the baby i am pregnant with now. is there anything i can do to make sure i can produce milk when i have the baby?

I don't know the specifics, but here's a bump! Try one of the breast feeding groups, too.

Okay...make sure you're taking prenatals, and eating well - no smoking, etc. not because that guarantees anything, but because it's good overall care for you and your baby and really, it doesn't hurt. ;)
Make sure you share your concerns and desires with your OBGYN and find out now about the lactation consultants at the hospital; they should have one available everyday. Also, contact La Leche - they will have an incredible amount of resources. The lactation consultant can help you with latching issues, teach you different techniques, answer question, guide you to other resources and support groups in your area and will show you HOW to breastfeed if needed. Make sure you are either pumping or tying to feed on a schedule of AT LEAST every 2-3 hours...that should help your supply come in, BUT at first you should only have colostrum anyway - which is something you can google to get more information on.
