I was going through his text messages (I do this often) and decided to go through his pics (I rarely do) and found 4 VERY explicit pica of naked girls. I don't recognize them, they look older then him. Does anyone know I'd I can find out where the pica came from? I looked up "photo info" it just has a file name (number) thed date (yesterday) size of file etc. So not very helpful. I have already decided he will loose the phone (not sure how long) and when he gets it back pic messages will be blocked. I know it is normal and don't want to come down too hard on him for exploring his sexuality. I do want him to understand he can get into legal trouble (IF the girls are minors) and that it is objectifying to woman. Any suggestions?
Not exactly sure where you can find out where the pics came from other than asking him and hoping that he will be honest! I've never gone through this with my son
You can request the records from your phone company. It's illegal for them to withhold it from you. Believe me my parents put it to good use when they gave me a cell phone, I used to delete all my texts so they couldnt read them haha even if they just said hi.
Than you for your help. I was able to go online and found out who he got the pics from (I spoke to the childs mother) and also block all data and pic/video messages. His father and I will be talking with him after work today.

We went thru this (more of a porn mag thing) w my little brother when he was 14 and we said "its normal but please don't leave it where we can see it" I would have made sure the girl was of age (if ds is 14 and the girl is under 18 then its legal) and let him be a boy.
Taking away the phone and getting mad and embarassing the poor guy is going to tell him that he did was wrong and that he needs to be ashamed of sex.
