Then we found out that this INST THE FIRST TIME!!!

What am i supposed to do?!?!

Well, I suppose you should do what you think is right.  I don't see a problem with him being around children at family functions, providing the children are under the supervision of their parents.  I certainly would not let my children to be around him without direct supervision.  However, I would do whatever his parole required - and if his parole required that he not be around children, yes, I would report him if he showed up at a family event.

I really don't understand the question.  "What am I supposed to do?"  What do you think you should be doing?  What is there to do?

sorry i edited my post.

I disagree with this. I do see a problem with him being around children even at family functions. My child would not go near this sick bastard for any reason. Yes, I would leave the function and contact his po.

For what?? How is this drama?? Why would you need to "take a seat" if you have something to add then say it....if not then why are you going to "take a seat" anyway??

If the law says he can't be around children and you show up at a family function where there are children pick up the phone and call the police because he'd be breaking the law. If it was me, I would make sure that he had not done anyting to my child. I don't know how to ask a small child if Uncle so and so touched her wrong, but it might be a good idea or get a trained individual to ask. You didn't know he was a sicko so don't blame yourself for letting him around your children. If he was around and the law said it was okay, I'd keep my children always in my line of sight. I would hope others would do the same. I would also keep him in my line of sight and if he slunk off somewhere I'd make sure the owner of the house where the funtion was being held knew he was sneaking around and being a creep.

Luckily my DD is very shy and has never left my lap when he was around. So I KNOW that he has never done anything to her.
