False. The weight range to get your period is higher than the weight range to lose the ability to have a period. By the time you've reached that low you're already way too thin.

I had a tumor and was only 80lbs at 16 years old. I still had a cycle every month. Everybody is different. Some women tend to skip it, but not everyone does.
