My sister is trying to steal my baby name

We are both expecting boys.  The good news is that I'm due three months earlier than her.  I've had my baby name picked out before she was even pregnant.  She also never had mentioned wanting to use this name in previous years.

She is threatening that if I go ahead and name our son T*******, that she is just going to turn around and name her son T****** too.  I would find that very stupid and confusing to have first cousins with identical names that are the same age and see each other often (my sister also works full-time and we will be doing quite a bit of free babysitting).  I don't know how real the threat is or if she's just trying to force me out of my name.  This will be her first baby and DH and my third, but our first boy.  This is so childish seeing how we are both around 30.

I've had my heart set on this name for 10 years.  I even named my car that six years ago (laugh all you want, my car was male).  What's my sister's claim to the name?  She had a bed-buddy for a few months shortly before getting with now BF of a year and half and his name happened to be T******.  My DH and I have been together for six years and had our heart set on this name the whole time and we are supposed to drop it on those grounds?  Also, her BF, who is not even sure if he's going to stick around, is against her using the name of someone she has been intimate with.

I'm not backing down, but I'm scared to call her bluff too.

You're scared to call her bluff?  Scared of what?  That two kids are going to have the same name?  There are going to be lots of little boys with that same name.  If she chooses to do that it isn't a big deal.

Make sure she finds another babysitter and name your baby whatever you want.

No, she wants to name it after the guy she was with before.  Her current BF is the father of her baby.

She's not naming the baby after it's father but rather her old fuck buddy.

Where did you get that being the fathers name?

Not his father, from what I read.
