I wish celebrities would stay out of politics

I'm so sick of seeing Hollywood trying to stick Obama down our fucking throats.  And now Gwen Stefani is holding a fundraiser for Obama??? Uggghhh I love No Doubt but now I am totally disgusted, I won't buy their shit or see them live ever again. I wish they'd (all of hollywood) stick to singing and acting and stop thinking that the general population cares about their political opinions.  The only thing it does it turn me off.  Am I the only one???

Not about freedom of speech.

Quoting T-HoneyLuv:

Actually Fairegirl33 knows ALOT.

Quoting Billiebeth:

You don't understand freedom of speech.

Quoting Fairegirl33:

It's that good ole thing called freedom if speech.

Quoting Anonymous:

Of course they can have an opinion, just keep it to themselves.  They look like pathetic fools how they fawn over Obama.

Quoting Fairegirl33:

Why can they not have an opinion because they are celebrities? They still have a vote just the same as you and I.

Being boycotted or kicked off a radio station or having an appearance ended.

Quoting Fairegirl33:

Suffer the consequences ???

Quoting Billiebeth:

No one said they could not have an opinion. But they can certainly suffer the consequences of their opinion.

I do say this as someone who does not care about the opinion of celebrities.

No, it's about accomplishing their goal, at the moment, they want Obama in office over Romney...

Wanting them to stop going public with their opinion or no longer supporting their product has nothing to do with the entertainer's freedom of speech.

Yes I'm sure they do think about that.... But look at Chris Brown has has career suffered after everyone said they would stop playing his music after he nearly killed Rhianna?

A political agenda all in all will fade away by January lol

1 mom liked this
They are American citizens. They have the extra funds the average American doesn't have access to. I think it's great they use it in a non materialistic way and do something productive for our country by raising funds and getting more people motivated to vote.
Even if you do not agree with their political choices, can you not at least respec the interest they take in the political process?
