I hope Romney doesn't steal my IUD - New Edit

As things sit right now, I'm looking at getting Mirena covered at 100% once my DH's insurance plan renews (they will be required to provide one under the Affordable Care Act).  But, Mitt Romney has sworn that one of the first things he will do is toss it out.  I'm pretty sure Obama is getting re-elected, but I'm still scared.

ETA: My insurance is funded by my DH's employer and himself.  The Affordable Care Act forces the insurance companies to provide BC after their next renewal date starting this month.  Therefore, this is NOT free BC provided by the government!

New Edit:  As things are getting scarier, I'm now actually having nightmares of Ryan and Ann holding me down will Romney hanks my IUD out with his own white-gloved hands!

Paul Ryan has already tried to ban all hormonal birth control, including the pill and Mitt Romney back him:

The people I know that have truly needed it only used it as a temporary fix and losing long term birth control would be such a minor thing. There won't be enough money to pay for everything for everyone it's just that simple.

Quoting LovelyJay512:

I thought OP meant he's taking it away completely. Now I'm aware that he's taking it away from those who use state health care.

I have a question, what do you think is going to happen with those women who do use state medical? I know a lot of users who just use to be mooches. Now those are the types I hate. If you need it; you need it however those who just get it because they can sickens me.

Quoting Anonymous:

Then why would state funded insurance guidelines effect your para guard?

Quoting LovelyJay512:

Umm you anonymous asshole. I don't have state funded insurance.

I PAY FOR MY INSURANCE. 32BJ- BC/BS.

ASSuming is bad. It's sad that you can't stand by your own statement. Boo-hoo.

Quoting Anonymous:

Then pay for it yourself!

Quoting LovelyJay512:

I'd kick him in the throat. I need my Paragard after the baby.

You think that the responsible people on pa are the ones who stay on it for life?

Quoting Anonymous:

I agree very much.  We are not even talking about the government handing out free BC.  We are talking about the government forcing the rich insurance companies to pay for BC.  Even if the government did hand out free BC to everyone, it would still be a huge investment towards cutting down the need for public assistance.

Quoting NoahandEliza:

I just don't see the bad in free bc. People can scream "keep your legs closed" until they're blue in the face, but that's so far from realistic it's not even funny. Rich, poor, fat, skinny, black, white, it doesn't matter, women will have sex. Free bc might not be the answer, but it could possibly improve the number of women who will use it instead of popping out more and more babies they can't afford. My bc is $56 a month...compare paying that to paying for a family to eat that month.

smh.  I hope for the sake of this country you stay on birth controll too.  The last thing we need is another little entitled democrat running around.  If I were you, I would get that iud put in before obama's ass gets the boot.

This is for government health care not the kind the individual pays for....

Quoting daughteroftruth:

Someone pays out the ass for insurance, the damn insurance can cover the cost of bc.

Quoting Anonymous:

And again pay for it yourself!

Quoting Anonymous:

Keep my legs closed?  Married women need BC too.

Quoting Anonymous:

Are you women serious!!!

You would not vote for him because you want to MOOCH free bc off of obamamcare??? So the rest of us get royally raped by having to pay rediculous amounts for insurance so you don't have to learn self control and keep you legs closed???

Why should it be fully paid for by private insurance if people have Co pays for medication? Shouldn't people that NEED medication to stay alive be given their medication for free instead of BC

Quoting avulgamo:

Umm...this part of the act is for all insurance companies to cover birth control, not just state funded ones

Use condoms and quit whining, I'm tired of the poor crying about their freebies getting cut, try to be middle class, we really take it in the ass.

I'm afraid that will not be possible.  I'm pregnant right now with our third.  My IUD plans are for next year.

?? I never said it should or shouldn't. I'm just here stating facts. There is so much misinformation about Obama care.

Another part of the act is It allows the Food and Drug Administration to approve more generic drugs (making for more competition in the market to drive down prices)
